The Historic Photograph Recreation Project calls on students to research and select four historic local photographs, that they will recreate in their original locations as best they can. I reshot historical stereographs in indonesia this year and saw this World War 2 project when I came back. They are impeccable matches. I think the photographer, Sergey Larenkov, probably researched which lenses were used in the originals and used the same.
