Comment by Samina Naz on December 16, 2012 at 2:16pm: Children with disabilities should be supported to become productive members of society because this will improve the welfare and well being of the entire community. If they are treated properly, go to school and learn livelihood skills they can contribute to society and to world.
This year, Grade IV students of Beaconhouse School System, Steel Town Branch invited special students of Aghosh School. This is school of children with physical and mental disabilities. We invited them to visit our Branch on12.12.12 and spend some time with our students. Grade IV students planned some activities for them. They played football and cricket matches. Our students gave them chance to win the games. They were given medals. They also went in the library. Although they could not read and write but they were excited to see the books and attracted towards colourful books. Our students gave them gifts and card at the end.
