Hello fellow ODOE'ers. Just thought I'd touch base! No Budgies unfortunately ... so I drove on out to Arltunga, the first settlement in Central Australia 111k east of Alice Springs. Once had a pop of 3,000 but because of water shortage and inability to grow or obtain fresh vegetables there, It was abandoned and is now a ghost town ... the trouble was it was 41degrees C in the shade there on 12-12-12 (and there isn't much shade there), so it was really really hot ... too hot to hike into the mines or anything. Too hot for anything but a Perentie lizard (and I didn't see any of them either) ... so I'm disappointed with the photos I obtained ... sigh! Just simply toooo hot!

Getting very excited as things come together for our shoot on Friday. Got four 8 year olds making a collaborative artwork out of found materials on Maroubra Beach being shot by a talented video artist.
