Dear all,
The citizens in Taiwan celebrate the National Day in different ways. Some people in Northern Taiwan went to the dress and army parade and the flag-rising ceremony. Some people in Southern Taiwan went to some party for the celebration. For me, I went to a party held by the Kaohsiung City Government for watching the flying kites show and enjoying the band show. We're having a Traditional Irish Music session where we play very old tunes on pretty old instruments. And on some brand new instruments, some I've just made today. (Penny whistles.) But we're not in Ireland, we're in Florida.

Very exciting that Double Tenth day coincides with this project! From the clips I have seen I can tell we will get some very nice footage of the celebrations.

Hi, greeting from Taiwan.
Double Tenth Day is the Naitonal Day in Taiwan. We are going to celebrate it with the Flag-rising Ceremony in the early morning and the firework show at night. Here is a youtbe video taken in 2007.10.10. Students and I are preparing some videos that we are gong to make on 1010, 2010, for iEARN projects and would love to share with you soon.

Hello everyone,
I am going to be shooting the 357th Onion Market or Zwiebelmarkt in Germany, its like a more traditional festival then the famous Oktoberfesst, and celebrates good German beer and these long onion wreaths and wall decorations.

I will be shooting and also participating in the Miami carnival. Thousand of people take over the street in costumes creating an Caribbean unity!
