HELEN CLARK sends a message to all UNDP staff:
Call to Action: Help Document the MDGs.
Learn More about the Millennium Development Goals
With just four years until 2015, where are we? Choose an MDG that inspires you and document it within your community. What are some innovative and successful initiatives that you think the world should see? Here's your chance to directly address the UN and global community.
Guidelines
1. Identify an MDG that inspires you.
2. Document individuals or organizations in your community that relate to your MDG. Be a journalist! Use your local knowledge to search out and communicate a story that the world should see!
3. Make sure to get steady shots of all of your subjects. After you've laid the groundwork, play with composition and framing. Get creative!
4. When you upload your video please be sure to tag it with "UNDP" or "MDG".

Comment
This year I choose to focus on MDG 7: ensuring environmental sustainability; but also narrowing it down to a Protected Area (Etosha National Park) in Namibia. The experience was, as expected, very unique indeed on 12.12.12

Comment by Kirk Andrew Henry on November 17, 2011 at 12:25pm 11.11.11. Soundscape. Beach moonset, UNESCO World Heritage Site on the caribbean island of St Lucia, capturing the rhythm of the sea and wind, crickets, frogs, morning birds and local fishermen. This natural soundscape is under threat in 2012. No fancy equipment or microphones, just me and my camera. see: http://vimeo.com/32268206
