What do you like to document about your world? or city?

I want to document stories of how people make meaning, community and art, how they draw on culture, spirituality and place to do their work. I'd like to tell (part of) the story of my friend Louis Alemayehu, spoken word artist, African American elder, educator, activist and advocate for community and environment. To mark a turning point, the next stage of his life he undertook a journey, a pilgrimage to cities in Ethiopia. He returns to the Twin Cities in March 2014. Does Louis now see the Twin Cities through the lens of his most recent African journey? What places in the Twin Cities have meaning for him in a lifetime of uniting social justice, art, community and spirituality?
