Date: 11.11.11 Object + Place.

This performance is a reflection, a very personal response to Veterans Day. I drove to a nearby National Park - Golden Gate National Recreation Area, just North of San Francisco, CA. I hiked a short distance up a bluff to a historic structure, once an active part of Fort Cronkhite called Battery Townsley. Aeolian Harp

When talking with my Mom she spoke of how in recent years the Aeolian harp had not been heard. She was referring to the feeling of the world, the feeling of the country, the state, her state. For 10.10.10 my Mother, Sidney really wanted us to film at a location on the UC Berkeley campus: the foot of the Campanile bell tower. On 10.10.10 we left at 9am to walk to campus. She wanted to look at the clock and hear it chime at 10am and continue to mark time accordingly. Less than half way there we had already stopped to rest on two benches.
